The Government has published a report which concludes that: “real-world performance of bus retrofit SCR technology is highly variable, achieving 80 to 90% NOX reductions in some cases, but having a minimal effect in others.” You have also funded fitting inland vessels on the Thames with Selective Catalytic Reductions (SCR) technology, what was the outcome of this investment and what is your position on the pathway now needed to reduce emissions from diesel vehicles other than buses?
