London urgently needs more homes, and accelerating delivery is critical if we are to meet the needs of Londoners.
That’s why the launch of NHA LDN and ATLAS LDN is such an important step forward.
Together, these services will provide a clear, government backed route to unblock stalled sites, tackle longstanding barriers and bring forward thousands of high-quality homes across the capital. This is about tackling the real barriers holding up delivery — whether that’s planning capacity, infrastructure constraints, regulatory complexity or funding challenges — and providing a clear route for sites stuck in the system to move forward.
- NHA LDN will support developers with sites facing obstacles, particularly those with planning consent or stalled during construction, focusing on issues such as building safety requirements, infrastructure capacity, regulatory conditions and viability.
- ATLAS LDN will help London boroughs overcome planning capacity pressures by providing free, expert support — from major applications and master planning to conditions approval and specialist advice. Crucially, both services will work collaboratively across the GLA, MHCLG, Homes England, TfL, statutory bodies, local authorities and the private sector, ensuring a genuinely joined-up public-private sector response focused on high impact sites capable of delivering homes quickly, especially schemes of over 100 homes.
Getting more homes built is a priority for the Mayor of London, and these new services will play a vital role in turning ambition into delivery — supporting boroughs, working with developers and helping to ensure London delivers the homes Londoners desperately need.
