Event overview
On 7 July 2005, four bombs exploded across London at Aldgate Station, Edgware Road, King's Cross/Russell Square and Tavistock Square, taking 52 lives and injuring many more.
2027 will mark 22 years.
The Mayor of London and representatives of the key agencies and emergency services will pay tribute to the victims during the annual wreath laying ceremony. This is a tribute of remembrance to honour the people killed and injured and their families, and to the first responders and other members of the public who were intimately involved in the event and aftermath.
There is a personal commemoration service for survivors and bereaved families following the wreath laying ceremony. This service is an intimate moment and will include poignant songs, a series of readings and the laying of flowers by bereaved families and survivors.
