Homes for Londoners Conference 2019

Thank you very much for coming to the Homes for Londoners conference and making it such a success.

The day focused on the Mayor's key priorities for housing - building more council, social rented, and other genuinely affordable homes, alongside making sure Londoners are closely involved in plans for what is built in their area. Thank you for your valuable contribution to these discussions and we hope you will be able to help us spread them throughout your networks.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, bought together London Boroughs, the GLA group, housing associations, homebuilders, developers, investors, and Londoners themselves at his inaugural Homes for Londoners Conference.

The conference discussed how we work together to building more council, social rented, and other genuinely affordable homes – and was unique amongst similar events by having a community representative on every panel.

It took place at The Crystal in the Royal Docks on 8 October 2019, highlighting the Royal Docks as a major area where the Mayors of London and Newham want to make sure local people and Londoners widely benefit from development.

The conference, curated by New London Architecture, was the first to be hosted by the Mayor of London and offered 500 attendees panel discussions, round-table sessions, a major borough and GLA exhibition, off-site tours of the Royal Docks and informal networking.
