Constituents who use Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich DLR station have contacted me in response to the news that Transport for London (TfL) has: “decided to extend the planned concession for free cross-river DLR trips from Greenwich/Cutty Sark DLR station to Island Gardens, given the continuing issues with the escalators at Cutty Sark. [...] This concession will begin on 7 April 2025 for at least a year.” They request that the concession be extended to Greenwich DLR station, due to it being only one stop on from Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich DLR station, yet it’s a 10 to 15-minute...

The recent update from Transport for London (TfL) on preparation for opening the Silvertown Tunnel includes information for Londoners who drive to prepare for paying tolls and registering for driving discounts. There is no similar information for people hoping to use the new zero-emission cycle-shuttle service. When will the final designs be confirmed and information shared about how to use the cycle-shuttle service, so people hoping to cross the river by bike can start to plan their journeys?

Thank you for your answer to my question 2025/0276, in which you said: “Transport for London (TfL) will publish further details on the cycle shuttle service shortly.” Will these details include responding to concerns from potential users that: a) the Greenwich peninsula bus stop is on a dual carriageway described as being ‘extremely hostile’, b) that on the north side of the Thames cyclists will only be able to get off at a bus stop near Royal Victoria DLR station, and c) the cycle shuttle-bus will accommodate cargo and adapted bicycles?
