The DSEI arms fair, scheduled to return to London in September, will host a number of arms companies supplying weapons, components and military technology used by the Israeli Government in its military actions in the Gaza Strip and its attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank. Previously, you have rightly said that the DSEI arms fair ‘has no place in our city.’ However, it is due to return to London in September. Could you confirm if you will: a) write to the event’s organiser on behalf of Londoners, to request that the event is cancelled, b) use your position to publicly speak out against the fair again, and support protests against the fair, and c) meet with campaign groups opposing the DSEI arms fair to discuss further action you could take?
