The voluntary sector has an incredible role to play and young people volunteering for charities and faiths can help improve their outcomes in terms of the skills that they pick up and what they contribute. Emma Best AM: I thought Assembly Member Baker was going to bring this up and so I was waiting to see if she did. You will have seen the recent announcement from the Minister [of State for Transport] around shared use bus borders (SUBBs) and floating bus stops. Those are the bus borders where you step off the bus into the cycle lane and the decision to pause those. In May [2025] you said you were awaiting more information before making a decision in London. Are you still awaiting further information or what is your position now?

You claimed earlier this year that only 13 per cent of London’s Green Belt is parkland or accessible space. Last month at the [London Assembly] Environment Committee [12 June 2025], the London Wildlife Trust and [CPRE London] told us that they estimate it to be at least 30 per cent. Krupesh Hirani AM: Thank you, Chair. I echo your words on the commemoration service at St Paul’s Cathedral. It was incredibly moving and fitting. The Government funding for the MPS, if we go back to 2005, has dropped from 80 per cent to 75 per cent now. How has that deliberate policy from the previous Government of quite frankly defunding the police made us less safe?
