Depending on whichever publicly available TfL bus fatality metric one chooses, deaths from preventable ‘Bus Safety Incidents’ have at least doubled in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 shows the same number of quarterly deaths from bus collisions as 2024, which, at the time, was the worst quarter for bus collision deaths since TfL started publishing its ‘Bus Safety Performance Data’ in Q1 2014. In your response to question 2024/0982 in March 2024, you stated that TfL does not record incidents where its bus drivers "fail to yield" while turning their bus or as they approach junctions.
