I am pleased to see the ambition to have a DLR branch to Thamesmead, which will give Thamesmead itself good connections into the Excel Exhibition Centre and City Hall area. Has consideration been given to the further benefits of continuing on to Abbey Wood, which would enable changing to National Rail and thus giving simple "one change" options for journeys such as Erith to the Royal Albert Docks, as well as improving Thamesmead's overall connectivity to the South as well as to the North?

Supporting Amendment 39 "Implementing a Vision Zero programme" in the Bus Services [No. 2] Bill

On 11 April, the RMT Bus Workers’ National Organising Conference approved a resolution in favour of amending the Government's ‘Bus Services [No. 2] Bill’ to include compelling local authorities to collect and publish bus operator safety performance data every quarter for any bus services they operate or franchise under the new bill, a revision to the legislation that the Government has, so far, opposed.
