Emma Best AM: Thank you, Chair. Morning, Mr Mayor. One of the biggest barriers to reform is the extremely low confidence in the police and also the issues with employment. One of the best programmes that serves London through the MPS is the Volunteer Police Cadet programme. We see cadets from a really wide variety of backgrounds, not only gain trust in the police by seeing them perhaps in a different light, but also see what a wonderful career joining the police could be in future. Unmesh Desai AM: Thank you, Chair. Good morning, Mr Mayor. Mr Mayor, following the fire in Dagenham and there was another fire the next day in Blackwall, just across the River Lea, which is also in my constituency. How is City Hall working with the local stakeholders in Barking and Dagenham to support affected residents, and will you consider ways in which City Hall can publicise the official Barking and Dagenham Council’s appeal to support those affected?
