A constituent has raised with me concerns that there is not adequate public information about trees on the Transport for London (TfL) transport network. The GLA publishes a detailed map of trees in London’s parks and streets, but this appears to only have a small amount of data from TfL. What public information does TfL provide on its tree strategy and what data on trees on its land is available?

The Silvertown Road Tunnel construction site has been blanketed in floodlights, which have altered the night sky in the surrounding area. Ending pesticide use in London’s green spaces

Parks for London produced guidance on Integrated Weed Management with support from the GLA. However, the guidance does not aim to end all use of pesticides, and campaigners are concerned that it has been influenced by the chemicals industry. Will you promote guidance that aims to eliminate rather than just reduce the use of pesticides in all green spaces in London?

Green space to support skylark breeding

  • Reference: 2023/1220
  • Question by: Zack Polanski
  • Meeting date: 23 March 2023
Campaigners for the retention of the full Warren Farm nature reserve have said that proposed development threatens a breeding ground that supports a quarter of London’s breeding skylark population. Skylark populations are in long-term decline, and they need wild space to protect their numbers. What protections do you offer to London’s skylark population in your planning and environment policies?
