I am writing to make a formal request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
 
My request concerns the former Cane Hill Hospital site in Coulsdon (Surrey), which was transferred to the Greater London Authority (GLA) property portfolio from the Housing and Communities Agency (formerly English Partnerships).
 
Specifically, I am looking for documentary evidence regarding the asbestos removal works performed on the historic buildings that were earmarked for preservation prior to the major fire on November 13th, 2010.
Please provide copies of the following documents:
  1. The Asbestos Clearance Certificates (or 4-stage clearance certificates) for the Administration Block issued between March 2008 and October 2010.
  2. Any official close-out or sign-off reports confirming that asbestos remediation had been fully completed by the contractor (Squibb Group / Squibb and Davies) for the Administration Block prior to November 2010.
If the GLA does not hold these specific legacy records, could you please direct me to the correct public authority or archive where these health and safety clearance documents are currently stored?
