W5 Bus - Engines left running

Residents in the adjacent block of flats have complained to me that bus drivers on the W5 bus route often leave their engines running and park at the far end of the new bus turnaround table in Sainsburys , Harringey Green Lanes thereby causing noise and other nuisance. Could you please investigate this and ensure that drivers do not park in front of this housing and always turn their engines off whilst waiting?

Overcrowded Trains in South London

Rush Hours trains at Streatham Common and Gipsy Hill, West Norwood and Streatham Hill stations are overloaded, and yet are only usually 8 car trains. I am told that increasing the capacity of trains through these two busy routings to 10 cars would require physical works at the West Norwood station and Streatham Common. Will you please ensure that TfL Rail communicate to Network Rail the importance and urgency of carrying out this work?

London City Airport - private jet noise

Further to an oral question to the last MQT about noise nuisance from private flights from City Airport I should clarify that private flights are subject to the same noise and CAA regulatory regime as commercial flights but that it appears that the variety of private jets and the practices of their pilots often push at the boundaries of the rules, both in terms of flight paths and engine noise, causing extra nuisance to local residents. While City Airport are aware of this problem, and use their powers and persuasion to encourage good practice, the nuisance from a single 'rogue'...
