Future development of Olympic land

The London Development Agency's Group Director of Resources and Risk wrote to the Chair of the London Assembly's Budget Committee on the 14th January 2008 with detail of the LDA's Olympic Land spending and funding. This refers to projections for the value of capital receipts from the sale of land, and says "some illustrative figures have been prepared based on greater density of development...". Could you clarify whether greater density of development is being considered as an option, and what impact this will have on the number of family homes built?

Your Director of Business Planning and Regeneration gave evidence to the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee on 15th January 2008. In this evidence he said that there were various options available to increase the amount raised from the sale of Olympic Land by the London Development Agency, including varying 'the quantum of affordable housing'. Can you confirm that, in line with your Housing Strategy, at least 50% of the housing will be affordable in any future development on land currently owned by the London Development Agency?

The sale of Olympic land

The London Development Agency have stated that they expect to raise £800 million from the sale of Olympic land. The Memorandum of Understanding 2007 between yourself and the government specifies that £1.825 billion will be paid back to the London Development Agency and the National Lottery from the proceeds of this sale of Olympic land. In addition, London is due to pay an extra £300 million towards the cost of the Games. How do you expect to raise the missing £1.3 billion?

Further to your answers 2941/2007 and 2942/2007, the press notice released by the London Development Agency contained no details of the funding agreement with the British Fashion Council except the amount. You refer in your answers to `agreed actions and milestones', and the fact that the recommendations of the Model Health Inquiry form `some of the conditions of the contract'. Please could you supply a copy of the funding agreement between the London Development Agency and the British Fashion Council, without which these phrases are meaningless?
