Tower Hamlets Council is currently consulting on a range of proposed dog control restrictions, which would be enforceable by the Metropolitan Police and Council enforcement officers. Do you agree that two proposals in particular – excluding dogs from all ungated children’s play areas and sporting areas, and a requirement to keep dogs on leads in all parks and open spaces – are disproportionate and will have an unacceptable impact on responsible dog owners?

The new Transport Secretary has said that with regards to Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs), “local authorities will have my full support to roll out schemes”. Will you ensure that any new LTNs in London are only implemented after full consultation and consideration of the impact on surrounding areas and access for emergency services and taxis / private hire vehicles? Will you also work with borough councils to deliver a consistent approach to securing full access to LTNs for London’s black cabs?

The North East London Physician Response Unit provides home emergency medical care for acutely unwell patients who cannot be seen in a hospital environment because the ambulance journey and long wait in A&E is too debilitating. It has a proven track record of saving both lives and money. Given concerning reports that the PRU’s funding has been cut, in your view, what measures can be put in place to secure the ongoing provision of this vital, cost-effective service that helps relieve pressure on A&E?
