The call to action by the NPCC about Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) understandably makes no reference to male victims of abuse, however the Home Office considers that male victims are always considered under the policy area of VAWG. Will the Mayor join with the Men & Boys coalition in making representations to the new Government so that the distinct issues that pertain to male victims of abuse and their children can be given the proportionate support that is so desperately needed?

The Piccadilly line will be getting new trains from 2025. However, this upgrade does not go hand in hand with an upgrade to signalling along the service. Residents have expressed concerns that despite the new trains a poor service will continue. You have previously stated that this is due to lack of central Government funding. Given that we have had a change of Government, have you discussed funding for signalling upgrades along the Piccadilly line?

HMICFRS’ Annual Assessment of Policing in England and Wales shows that in the year ending 31 March 2023, the Met Police had an offence brought to justice outcome rate of 4.7%, the second to worst rate in England and Wales. How are you working with the Met Police to ensure more crimes get solved, a crucial factor to regain trust in our Police Service?

A recent inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation also said that YJS and the Metropolitan Police need to work together to explore ways to improve information sharing to increase victim consent and uptake. How are you assuring yourself that communication between YJS and the MPS is improved, not just in Bexley but across London?
