From 25 December 2025, the Cleaner Vehicle Discount for the Congestion Charge zone will no longer apply. What analysis have you done on future incentives to achieve the required switch to walking, cycling and public transport and a continued transfer to cleaner vehicles to enable you to meet Net Zero in London by 2030 and the active travel and clean air targets in your Mayor’s Transport Strategy (MTS)?

Tender process for advertising contracts for TfL

As part of the tender process for its advertising contracts, Transport for London (TfL) asked bidders to consider the environmental impact of advertising and to help TfL continue supporting you in your aim to make London Net Zero by 2030. During this process was there any discussion about implementing a ban on fossil fuel advertising, as called for by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres?

Bus journey times

The latest network wide average London bus speed is 9.4 mph, as reported during the September London Bus Alliance meeting. This speed was the highest so far in 2024. In comparison, the average speed at the same time in 2023 was 9.6 mph and in 2022 it was 9.8 mph. What further action will you take to improve the reliability of bus journey times as outlined by the target in your Transport Strategy?

New bus lane roll-out

It was reported at the September 2024 London Bus Alliance meeting that only 10.9 km of new bus lanes have been delivered on Transport for London (TfL) and borough roads, against a TfL target of 25 km of new bus lanes by the end of March 2025. Could you tell me: a) how likely is it that TfL will deliver the remaining 14.1 km by the end of this financial year, b) what are the barriers to delivery, and c) what analysis has been made of the impact on bus journey times?

ULEZ scrappage scheme underspend

On 10 September 2024, the Evening Standard reported that unclaimed ULEZ scrappage millions ‘to be used to cut Blackwall and Silvertown tunnel tolls’. Pre-opening mitigation schemes for Silvertown Road Tunnel

Constituents have raised concerns with me that Transport for London (TfL) changes to road layouts for Silvertown Road Tunnel at Bow Roundabout, Preston’s Roundabout and the junction of the A13 and A102 were not shared with local walking and cycling organisations prior to scheme design or implementation. All these junctions have had concerning collisions over the past decade, and each of them also has a cycleway. Could you tell me what engagement, if any, TfL carried out with local groups on these junction changes and what information was provided to nearby residents prior to construction?
