  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 19 December 2024
I have been made aware that the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) system used by Transport for London (TfL) to measure corrugation on underground rail tracks does not tally with the experience of noise-affected residents. • Reference: 2024/4025

  • Reference: 2024/4023
  • Question by: Zoë Garbett
  • Meeting date: 19 December 2024
Gypsy and Traveller Londoners I have spoken to are deeply concerned about the derelict state of council-provided sites, overcrowding and homelessness due to the chronic and catastrophic scarcity of pitches, and a general lack of consultation and communication from local councils and the GLA. Will you: a) consider specific measures to ensure capital funding reaches these sites, such as ringfencing funding for refurbishments and culturally suitable specialist housing, and b) ensure this is an agenda point at the next meeting of the London Partnership Board, so that key partners and stakeholders can work together to turn a corner on the...

Audits of Gypsy and Traveller sites (1)

  • Reference: 2024/4022
  • Question by: Zoë Garbett
  • Meeting date: 19 December 2024
There are not any London councils who have yet completed and shared health and safety audit reports on the Gypsy and Traveller sites in their boroughs, despite the fact a fresh suite of audits should have been prompted by the 2021 London Plan. What are the reasons councils are reporting for these delays, and what are you doing to ensure councils address this complete failure of oversight as soon as possible?
