  • Meeting date: 21 November 2024
The Government has published a report which concludes that: “real-world performance of bus retrofit SCR technology is highly variable, achieving 80 to 90% NOX reductions in some cases, but having a minimal effect in others.” How many buses with retrofit technology does Transport for London (TfL) have in operation, and what assessment of the impact of the technology on emissions have you made in light of this new report?

Concerns from people serviced by district heat networks in Southwark have been raised in local press and media. High gas costs due to commercial contracts are leading to residents paying bills far in excess of those for a typical home. What work is the GLA doing, as the body promoting and planning heat networks in London-wide planning, to ensure that existing heat networks work efficiently, and what changes are needed in future networks to avoid these high charges?
