Water resilience planning

  • Reference: 2025/0834
  • Question by: Zack Polanski
  • Meeting date: 20 March 2025
Constituents in South East London near Crystal Palace have contacted me concerned about the response to a water outage and loss of water pressure after a burst pipe. Residents in properties that were close to Crystal Palace reported poor water pressure for nearly a week afterwards, which in some cases was unable to supply properties in flats. Communication from Thames Water was poor, and residents were only offered an alternative water supply in a supermarket car park that was as much as three miles from affected properties. Are you satisfied that Thames Water and local councils have the right plans...

  • Question by: Alex Wilson
  • Meeting date: 20 March 2025

  • Question by: Alex Wilson
  • Meeting date: 20 March 2025
The Metropolitan Police has reportedly objected to the opening of a new jazz bar in Covent Garden because criminals might target ‘vulnerable’ club-goers.
