  • Question by: Alex Wilson
  • Meeting date: 20 March 2025
Islamic Relief Worldwide has been banned by UAE for funding terrorist groups in the Middle East. An investigation into the organisation by the US State Department concluded: “It is incumbent on all people of good conscience to stand strong and exhibit zero tolerance for the blatant and horrifying anti-Semitism and glorification of violence exhibited at the most senior levels of IRW.” Islamic Relief advertising is now on display at a number of London Underground stations including East Ham and Ilford. Since advertising of cake is prohibited on TfL, what action do you propose concerning Islamic Relief? https://www.thirdsector.co.uk/islamic-relief-denies-terrorism-links-bla… https://www.ft.com/content/09e13dee-6db8-11e4-bf80-00144feabdc0 https://www.thetimes.com/article/controversial-muslim-charity-sets-up-b…
