An investigation by ENDS Report, Journalismfund Europe and De Groene Amsterdammer has revealed 220 boys and men have been killed or shredded in recycling factories in Turkey in the last 10 years. These facilities have often been handling plastic waste sent from the UK. What work does Re:London support to ensure that London’s plastic waste and recycling isn’t getting into facilities with such poor regard to health and safety that they regularly see deaths, and would you support a ban on plastic waste exports?
