Tube Toilet Map (5)

  • Reference: 2023/0297
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
In your response to my question 2022/3906, you say that customers can request a printed copy of the Transport for London (TfL) Tube Toilet Map from the Contact Centre, but only one was requested and supplied in 2022. Meanwhile, the TfL accessibility guides webpage (https://tfl.gov.uk/forms/12387.aspx) states: “This guide is downloadable only.” Will you make the printed Tube Toilet Map available to order from the accessibility guides page of the website and more readily available at stations?

Loss of London public toilets (3)

  • Reference: 2023/0296
  • Question by: Caroline Russell
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
Thank you for your answer to my question 2022/1319 on London Plan Policy S6, which requires that large-scale developments are open to the public and large areas of public realm should provide free, publicly accessible toilets suitable for a range of users. In your response you said: “Data on the loss or gain of public toilets is not monitored in planning applications. My officers will look at how we might monitor information on public toilets for referable schemes in the future.” Could you update me whether this monitoring now takes place and, if so, where it is reported?

  • Reference: 2023/0293
  • Question by: Zack Polanski
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
Thank you for your answer to my question 2021/2253. Beech Street, which was London’s first zero emission street, has reverted to its previous polluted state because the 18-month pilot ended without a permanent scheme being put in place. Are you still committed to a wider central London Zero Emission Zone (ZEZ) from 2025, and when will Transport for London (TfL) publish its refreshed guidance on ZEZs?

The implementation plan for your Environment Strategy only goes up to the present year, 2023. What process will you follow in updating your Environment Strategy, and how will you engage stakeholders and Londoners in the development of an update?

Silvertown Road Tunnel construction and pollution above new WHO limits

  • Reference: 2023/0291
  • Question by: Zack Polanski
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
I note the answer you have given to question 2022/2924, in which you said that data would be published on air pollution monitoring around the Silvertown Road Tunnel construction site. Transport for London (TfL) has since published the Silvertown Tunnel Baseline Air Quality Monitoring Report, which only compares pollution levels to the Government legal limits for air pollution. As your decision for the Greater London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) cited the new World Health Organization (WHO) suggested limits for air pollution, will you ensure all pollution monitoring for TfL projects compares pollution with the WHO interim and guideline levels...
