London Legacy Development Corporation fixed estate charge (2)

  • Reference: 2023/0317
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
Thank you for your answer to my question 2021/1482. The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) does not separately disclose the level of fixed estate charge collected, either in its budget or its quarterly performance report. Could you explain this lack of transparency, and whether you agree that this information should be published to ensure scrutiny of whether residents are being fairly charged?

Crystal Palace National Sports Centre refurbishment (4)

  • Reference: 2023/0316
  • Question by: Siân Berry
  • Meeting date: 19 January 2023
The proposed extension to the length of the Grade II* listed 50 metre pool at the National Sports Centre (NSC) in Crystal Palace to allow a new ‘boom’ to be installed (by the loss of the teaching pool that is located next to it) will increase the cost and time to refurbish the main hall at the NSC. What is the overall cost difference between restoring the 50 metre pool, within the Grade II* design envelope, and the work required to add a new boom?

Thank you for your answer to my question 2022/2598. What commitments can you now give that the refurbishment of the National Sports Centre (NSC) in Crystal Palace will include a new indoor track of at least the same length and overall indoor functions and, if not, what are the risks that a new indoor facility will not be delivered or that a smaller one with less functionality will be provided instead?

Once a shared ownership property is sold to a cash buyer, usually through simultaneous staircase and resale, I understand that it is no longer classified as an ‘affordable home’. How are these sales being monitored in London by your team and what assessment is being made of the impact on the stock of affordable homes?
