In this, they set out how work-related road risks could be managed by using procurement powers to promote safety standards, including for lorries through the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) silver grade, the Direct Vison Standard (DVS), and also through the Construction Logistics and Community Safety standard (CLOCS). The October 2022 report, Silvertown Tunnel Socio-Economic Monitoring: Year 1, says that a third of Londoners in the study area (34 per cent) believe the lack of Thames crossings impacts their choice of travel mode. What actions are you taking to develop plans to reduce the barriers that the Thames, and major roads such as the approaches to the Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels, present to active travel journeys?

Faster entry and exit from trains and trams

On the Manchester Metrolink system it is possible to press the button to indicate you wish to open the doors before arriving at a station or stop, which makes for faster exit and entry from the tram. Could Transport for London (TfL) consider introducing a similar operating mode on existing and/or future vehicles for both rail and tram services in London?
