The February 2023 meeting of the Transport for London (TfL) Safety, Sustainability and Human Resources Panel contained an update in a Safety, Health and Environment Quarterly Report about training the occupational health team receive on support for those affected by problem gambling. Unite and the TUC have both issued guidance on employers tackling problem gambling. Does TfL have any estimate of the likely severity of gambling issues in TfL, and what policies is it taking to proactively reduce the risk of harm to staff, their colleagues, friends and family?

Publication of documents relevant to the Silvertown Road Tunnel

The Planning Inspectorate issued a notice on 12 May 2023 to the effect that most documents relating to the Silvertown Road Tunnel will shortly be removed from its website. Given that the tunnel is still under construction, will you keep all GLA and Transport for London (TfL) information supplied to the Planning Inspectorate in the public domain by publishing it on GLA and TfL websites?

Reinstatement of Euston Road

The June 2023 Transport for London (TfL) Commissioner’s report says that TfL is working with HS2 on how to reinstate Euston Road, given changes in timing for the delivery of the station at Euston. Will you now bring forward work to provide safe, continuous cycle routes and improved pedestrian crossings on Euston Road?

Business rates for unoccupied properties

There are a number of loopholes within current policy concerning business rates for unoccupied properties that companies exploit. What action have you taken to lobby the Government to address these, and will you support policy proposals such as extending the occupation period for rates exemption from six weeks to six months, following the example of the Welsh and Scottish governments, and/or staged reductions in business rates to support other uses, such as opening them up to local authority use?

What is the process for you to arrange for investigation and enforcement when you are informed of breaches within the GLA’s Affordable Housing Capital Funding Guide (AHCFG) after homes have been completed, for example when an affordable rented home has rents increased beyond affordability limits or where leases are found not to comply with the guidance?

Thank you for your answer to my question 2023/1879, in which you said: “officers have progressed the redesign of 14 schemes through the Stage 2 referral process to include a second staircase. […] There are a further 40 schemes which have either been referred to me at Stage 1 or have received a resolution to grant planning permission from the boroughs, which require a second staircase.” Could you provide me with a list of these 54 schemes and who the developer is for each one?
