One of the issues the Baroness Casey Review highlighted, was the significant reduction in police officers working in community policing. She used the phrase “Neighbourhood Policing teams have been decimated.” The fact that community teams are overstretched and understaffed has a major impact on public perception. Will the new Policing Board therefore also monitor community policing staffing data to ensure the Met has sufficient staffing levels to provide a decent service for Londoners?

Given the recent investigation by the BBC showing the misuse of body-worn cameras, with police officers switching off their body-worn cameras when force is used, as well as deleting footage and sharing videos on WhatsApp, what investigations will you lead to ensure such behaviour is eradicated from the Met Police?
