London is green, wild and free

Green spaces help all Londoners live longer, healthier and happier lives. From improving air quality, to providing habitats for wildlife and improving our wellbeing, they're a vital part of a healthy city.

London is already one of the greenest cities in the world. And the Mayor has invested over £30 million to make London even greener for everyone.

So far, funding has focused on areas of the city with poor access to open space and nature, especially where these are also areas of deprivation.

The Mayor's latest Green Roots Fund has £12.41million available for green and blue space projects across the capital – empowering Londoners to make their neighbourhoods greener, healthier and wilder.
