Jobs and Skills
Learn how the Mayor is delivering the skills to help Londoners into good work, support businesses to thrive, and grow the economy.
The Mayor is helping Londoners to get the skills they need to access good jobs and lead happier, healthier lives. He's dedicated committed to ensuring London’s skill system reflects the needs of our economy, can drive growth and ensure that Londoners can get good work in growth sectors.
The Mayor's priority for jobs and skills are outlined in the Inclusive Talent Strategy. We will:
-
Put employers in the driving seat of our skills system, to unlock the opportunity of inclusive growth in the capital.
-
Build a more integrated skills system, working with partners including government, skills providers, employers, careers and health services to connect Londoners with the right pathways to training and employment.
-
Tackle barriers to retaining talent in London by ensuring Londoners have the support they need to stay in work including fair pay, information on employment rights and support on housing and childcare.
London and national government, London’s skills, health and community sectors, and our business community are joining forces to deliver inclusive growth.
