Apprenticeships: Information for Londoners
Apprenticeships are real, paid jobs offered by companies across a range of sectors. They are for anyone who's over the age of 16 and not in education (full or part-time). They offer a way to develop skills for the workplace and explore different career pathways.
This page is for Londoners who want to learn more about apprenticeships. See information about apprenticeships for employers and training providers.

Success story: Angela's apprenticeship
Angela is an ambitious and resilient 18-year-old student who has faced significant health challenges which meant that she could only sit two out of six exams. Angela expressed an interest in an Apprenticeship in Radiography. Through Early Connect programme, which helps students to apply for apprenticeship positions, she has received:
- personalised career guidance
- CV and cover letter workshop
- detailed apprenticeship information
- initial steps pathway guidance.

Angela started with a Level 2 apprenticeship
She chose an apprenticeship in a healthcare-related role to gain relevant experience that would help her develop her skills.

Angela progressed to a Level 3 apprenticeship
This was also in a healthcare-related field, and offered the potential for more advanced training.

Angela's aiming for a Level 6 Diagnostic Radiographer Degree Apprenticeship
Her apprenticeship combines work and academic studies.
