Removal of platform tickets

Platform tickets have been removed as an option at TfL stations. People who want to make use of toilet facilities now must ask a member of staff at the gateline to access the toilet facilities inside the gateline. Can staff refuse the use of toilet facilities when people are not looking to buy a ticket? Once inside the gateline, how do people prove they are just using the toilet facilities when inspected by another member of staff (or BTP officers)?

CHAIN homeless figures

The Combined Homelessness and Information Network (CHAIN) confirmed that 4,068 people were counted sleeping rough in London between July and September 2023. This is an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2022 and London’s highest rough sleeping count since records began. How will you support rough sleepers this winter given that this increase will lead to additional pressures on current services?
