Thank you for your answer to my question 2025/1770 pointing me to a website run by the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) for Greenwich Foot Tunnel lift status. The website was last updated on 19th May; it is not a live feed with real-time updates on whether lifts are working. With the closure of Cutty Sark Station more people will be looking for step-free alternatives for their journeys so live updates on lift status in the Greenwich Foot Tunnel are critical. A constituent has contacted me about the recent announcement of the appointment of new members to the board of Transport for London (TfL). They raised that while representation of all stakeholders including taxi drivers is important, there are no board members whose biography highlights a strong background in health and safety. They suggested that since Vision Zero is a key part of TfL’s agenda, this could be something of interest for the future.
