In your delayed response to question 2024/3450, you stated very clearly, "It is correct that five pedestrians (including one on private land) were fatally injured in collisions involving buses in the first quarter of 2024". What is the significance of a person being killed by a TfL bus on "private land" in terms of recognising it as a preventable bus safety incident under its watch?

In your delayed response to question 2024/3450, you stated, "In my role as Mayor of London and Chair of Transport for London (TfL), I extended my sincere apologies to the family of Melissa Burr for the way in which the communications were handled after her death." Yet, my question specifically referred to a 3 September BBC News report that alleged you had 'apologised' to the family of Kathleen Finnegan, killed on 29 January 2024 by an RATP Bus at Victoria Station. Am I to understand from your response to question 2024/3450 that you have not apologised to the Finnegan family...

Following up on the guidance you provided me in response to question 2024/3708 and 2024/3709 and further to your response to question 2024/3712, how do you justify the fact that TfL's updated guidance clearly indicates that the employer of any bus driver who takes an "Emergency Comfort Break" with "No CCM Approval in Place" will have its contract payments reduced by TfL as a direct result. Are you aware of any government body that issues "updated guidance" to any contractor that they will be punished financially if their employees with safety-critical roles are obliged to take an "Emergency Comfort Break"...
