Tesla Cybertrucks

On 17 January 2025, the BBC reported that a Tesla Cybertruck, which is illegal to drive in the UK due to safety concerns, had been seized by police in Greater Manchester. Constituents have contacted me to say that the same type of vehicle is being driven in the London area by a high-profile social media influencer. A YouTube video shows the driver being stopped by the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), but the vehicle has not been seized. Given that this vehicle is not legal to drive in the UK, why is the MPS allowing it to continue to be driven?

Funding future LIP schemes in Tower Hamlets

In the Transport for London (TfL) Commissioner’s Report for December 2024, it says: “The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has issued a claim for judicial review against us seeking to challenge a decision not to release further funding under its Local Implementation Plan (LIP). We have agreed terms for the claim to be withdrawn that are subject to approval by the court.” What were the terms for the withdrawal of the claim, what was the decision on legal costs, and will you now be funding Tower Hamlets Healthy Streets schemes via LIP funding?
