Local news in London has been on the decline for a number of years, but it is a vital tool when it comes to upholding transparency, democracy, putting community issues on the agenda and scrutinising decision-makers and elected representatives. What measures do you believe need to be taken to help local and independent press in the capital thrive once again, and how will you use your platform as Mayor to support this?

Bus Crash at Chimes Terrace, N8

There was an accident at Chimes Terrace in Crouch End on 18/9/21 involving a 91 bus. Whilst we will all be relieved to hear no one was injured as a result of the crash, this incident is extremely worrying as a double-decker bus crashed into the property at 145 Tottenham Lane, opposite Chimes Terrace, in 2001. I understand Haringey Council has contacted Transport for London, who have overall responsibility for the road network across London, regarding the safety of the roundabout on Tottenham Lane which is used by the 91 bus at the start of its route. Rephasing of traffic lights Aldermans Hill/Cannon Hill Junction, Enfield

I understand that TfL agreed in 2019 to amend signal timings at the junction of Aldermans Hill, Cannon Hill, Forestdale and Powys Lane to allow pedestrians more time to cross safely. This junction is next to a local park and is well used by pedestrians including parents and their children and the elderly. When will the promised re-timing of the traffic lights take place?
