Last year you also started just under five thousand City Hall-backed council homes (2021/22). That is the highest level of council homes in a generation - forty years to be exact. But despite that huge success, I have concerns that we may see inflation further drive up the cost of materials, energy and ultimately construction costs. Does this pose a risk to the viability of future projects and if so, what action is needed to continue your leading council homebuilding programme?
