Courses funded by the Adult Education Budget (AEB) are evaluated by how many people attend rather than how many people get into work at the end of the course. This is concerning, especially given that course providers make a profit from the GLA and we want the best long-term outcomes for students and learners, which means getting a job at the end or upskilling for a better career. Will you consider auditing the courses to show which ones help people get into permanent jobs that pay at least the London Living Wage within a specified timescale of completing the course?
