The announcement from the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 23 September about removing the cap on bankers’ bonuses will only widen income inequality in London. How will you and your Deputy Mayor for Business work with big businesses to encourage them to keep bonuses under control so that inequality does not get worse and the dangerous speculation that caused the 2008 financial crisis does not repeat itself?
