Recent heatwaves in London brought about unparalleled problems and showed the impact of climate change on everyday lives. Whilst our London Fire Brigade (LFB) services were excellent in their response to these unparalleled emergencies, what further steps can you take to ensure the LFB is prepared to tackle future heatwaves? What additional steps are you taking to tackle the climate emergency throughout London?

Will you consider making representations to the Government to alleviate growing pressures on the budgets of local authorities throughout North East London? As you know, growing pressures on local government finances comes from a combination of challenges including years of austerity, uncertainty about government funding, rising inflation, and the cost-of-living crisis. Consecutive governments since 2010 have slashed local government funding thus placing Councils in North East London in difficult financial positions.
