  • Reference: 2022/5184
  • Question by: Krupesh Hirani

Electric Vehicle Charging Points

  • Reference: 2022/5182
  • Question by: Krupesh Hirani
  • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
The ULEZ expansion into Brent & Harrow will inevitably act as an incentive for some residents to purchase an electric vehicle. However, residents are concerned that both boroughs lack the available charging infrastructure to support the increase of electric vehicles on our roads. Do you agree with me that more electric vehicle charging points are required in both Brent and Harrow to keep up with demand, and what can your office do to support both boroughs in ensuring that demand is met with the installation prior to the expansion of the ULEZ Zone?

ULEZ Charging Criteria

  • Reference: 2022/5181
  • Question by: Krupesh Hirani
  • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
Many constituents in Brent & Harrow are concerned that their vehicle will be liable for the ULEZ charge once the ULEZ Zone is expanded into our boroughs, despite that fact that their vehicle is currently not liable for charging within the current ULEZ boundaries. Can you confirm that vehicles that are currently not liable to pay the ULEZ charge, will not be liable to pay the charge upon completion of the ULEZ Zone expansion?

London Northwestern Railway (LNR) services at Wembley Central

  • Reference: 2022/5180
  • Question by: Krupesh Hirani
  • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
London Northwestern Railway services will no longer call at Wembley Central from December 11. The decision was taken in part due to the shorter platform lengths at Wembley Central that restrict the ability to run trains in long formations. It is claimed that the impact of this change will be relatively minor as very few LNR services currently call at the station. Do you share LNR’s confidence that travellers will not be severely impacted by this change to services?

Bakerloo Line and London Overground Upgrades (2)

  • Reference: 2022/5179
  • Question by: Krupesh Hirani
  • Meeting date: 15 December 2022
While the railway itself is closed, improvement works will be carried out at the stations that are temporarily closed too – namely, North Wembley; South Kenton; Kenton; Headstone Lane; and Carpenders Park. The refurbishment will include clearing guttering, roof repairs, canopy renovations, installing tactile paving and resurfacing platforms. Some of my constituents have long-running concerns about the state of these stations. Can you confirm whether travellers were consulted about the planned improvements?
