There are significant potential downsides associated with putting a cycle lane through Holland Park Roundabout, including extra congestion, displacement of traffic onto low traffic residential side streets, pushing cyclists onto one of the busiest intersections in London and creating new junctions, all of which TfL research shows are extremely hazardous to cyclists.
