London Bus Emissions

  • Reference: 2023/1823
  • Question by: Tony Devenish
  • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
A London bus garage mechanic recently advised one of my constituents that, contrary to TfL’s claims, not all London buses have been converted to Euro VI or cleaner. Was that mechanic right? If evidence were uncovered that, contrary to TfL’s claims, not all London buses are now Euro VI or cleaner, who would you consider responsible?

Brackenbury Clean Air Neighbourhood

  • Question by: Tony Devenish
  • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
Hammersmith & Fulham Council are planning to introduce a Clean Air Neighbourhood (CAN) in Brackenbury in Hammersmith. The Hammersmith TfL depot serving the Hammersmith & City Line, has an entrance on Trussley Road within the proposed CAN area. Do you recognise that for any employees who live outside Hammersmith & Fulham and for any suppliers delivering or making business calls this will cause immense difficulty? Given the impact on businesses and on TfL will you commit to strongly objecting to these plans?

The Three Ds

  • Question by: Tony Devenish
  • Meeting date: 18 May 2023
A recent article in The Spectator referred to “the three Ds: displacing traffic on to boundary roads, dividing communities, and discriminating against the elderly and disabled.” Do you accept that your changes to London’s roads over the last 7 years have been a root cause of these three Ds?
