I understand that Taxi Drivers must accept magnetic card swipes on their card reading device, when other public transport modes don’t, including Private Hire. Why are there different rules for different modes of transport and will you review this condition?

I note the recent confirmation from the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police that from 1 September 2023 police officers will no longer attend calls relating to mental health incidents unless there is a threat of life. Looking at emergency calls received between 1 May 2022 and 30 April 2023, how many of these calls would not have been attended if this policy had been in place? Please provide a breakdown by i) month and by ii) borough?

West Cromwell Road Collision

The recent death of Ms Holland in a collision at a crossing on West Cromwell Road which involved a police escort for the Duchess of Cambridge again highlighted the dangerous traffic situation on this road for vulnerable road users, particularly pedestrians and cyclists.
