Residents of Islington are still suffering from excessive tube noise from the Victoria Line in their homes. They are also reporting less than satisfactory communication from TfL. This is despite promises of 6-monthly meetings and regular grinding works. In 2019, Government funding, through the Department of Transport to Network Rail, was announced to deliver accessibility improvements at Hackney Downs Station by 2024. However, I understand that Network Rail has still not selected a provider to lead the installation of lifts and other required changes. What conversations are you having to ensure the Government delivers on its promise to make this station accessible to all?
