Perhaps at this early stage I could mention the new Sutton Arena to the Mayor which will offer excellent facilities. I am sure other Boroughs have very good facilities, which may not be up to Olympic standard but certainly could be locked into an offer for training facilities for teams and so on. That is a way to get Boroughs involved.

Can I say that the Liberal Democrat group on this Assembly have always been enthusiastic supporters of the London bid. Therefore, I do very much welcome the Mayor's positive approach to an Assembly input to this. Certainly, we will play our part our part in that. My experience is that where there is much less enthusiasm for the London bid is in some of the South and West London Boroughs particularly, who do not yet see what it is in for them. I wonder what the Mayor can do both to convince them that there is something in it for...

): I am concerned about that and also about the legacy with regard to the names I have seen and the work they do in relation to sustainability. It has been questionable. I have questioned a number of these individuals or the persons mentioned here. So the point is how do we ensure that we get jobs, and get the delivery of this project properly and sustainably right from the start? I think that is still open to question.

Obviously from my position jobs are certainly very important and I would not want to say for a second that we would sacrifice the environment for jobs as a way of going forward. But it would be useful at this point if you did read out the six, or if I just pointed out one that you might consider. The very last one on the list I have mentions Richard Rogers by name. Will he still be part of the Urbanism Unit if he is part of the one that is chosen?

The Environment Committee certainly has looking at the Olympics on its menu in a very constructive way in the not too distant future. I say that in a very constructive way because from my position I think the Olympics is a sterling example of where we can actually put environmental construction in right at the start of this particular project. So, in a sense, I am very heartened to hear the answers you have to Darren's questions. The five it came down to are all stars and there is no doubt about their competence or anything in terms of talent, but I would be very interested to see the brief that they were given for that bid.

Because there has been criticism within the industry and it relates to what Meg was saying about concerns. This is a masterplanning exercise and about whether companies have the expertise or not. There have been concerns raised with me about some of the procurement processes. So I would very much welcome understanding all of the issues around that.
