  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
I do not think he has ever run anything.

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [10]

  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
My view is this is an incoherent and inexperienced council. Do you think that the Assembly Members in this Chamber who I know support this kind of infrastructure project would be well advised to get alongside their junior colleagues in Camden and give them some good advice about how to best serve their community?

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [9]

  • Question by: Geoff Pope
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
This consultation has options in it, and I think it is only right to come up with a final response once one has understood all the implications of the different routes proposed. Why is that you always take the case of, `Well we will decide and then consult'? Surely it is better to talk about principals, get feedback and then decide the detail, and that is really what Camden is doing is it not?

I am asking his view. He is entitled to his view.

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [7]

  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
The Labour Councillors did not boycott the launch of the consultation yesterday; I saw one of them with my own eyes. However, sadly, the joint administration there did. I do not want to have a party political battle about this. What I am trying to say is, this is exactly one of the big infrastructure environmental projects that we have to fight for on a cross-party basis in London to achieve. Mayor, how are you going to react to this and how are you going to try and bring these other parties back to the table for what is a...

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [6]

  • Question by: Jenny Jones
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
I would like to take you back to the tram because it is a huge deal for the south of the river and there you have full cross-party support so far. I know the Liberal Democrats in Southwark are fully behind it. Do you think the Liberal Democrats in Camden are just fur coat and no knickers?

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [5]

  • Question by: Roger Evans
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
Just to bring you back to your proposals for amending the Congestion Charge. Have you costed that?

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [4]

  • Question by: Brian Coleman
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
The Leader of Camden Council is Councillor Keith Moffitt of the Liberal Democrats. The Deputy Leader is Councillor Andrew Marshall. I am quite happy, Mr Mayor, for you to insult Camden Council but not when you cannot get your facts straight.

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [3]

  • Question by: Roger Evans
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
How will you pay for it? Are you going to put the charge up across the board for everyone else, or take it out of fares, or take it out of council tax? You have got to pay for it in some way.

Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [2]

  • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
  • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
I have a letter here in my hand from the Leader of Camden Council who is speaking on behalf of Liberal Democratic/Conservative Partnership Administration, and that is what he says in his letter. I am happy to share that with you although I am really in a state of despair about what has happened here. Would you agree that one of the things that made the Croydon Tram Link Scheme happen was that the Conservatives on Croydon Council supported this project all the way through 15 years, up until it happened? That was one of the critical success factors in...
