Low Traffic Neighbourhoods and TfL's Secret Safety Bus Quarterly Meetings

  • Reference: 2024/0969

Have LTNs ever been discussed at the un-minuted and unscrutinised secretive Safety Bus Meetings that TfL hosts with its bus contractors every quarter?

Impact Assessments of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) on Bus Speeds on TLRN

  • Reference: 2024/0968
  • Question by: Neil Garratt
  • Meeting date: 15 March 2024
Your response to question 2024/0193 suggests that, before the introduction of LTNs by boroughs, TfL itself does not routinely undertake impact assessments of proposed LTN on traffic flows and traffic light timings both within the borough and these actions' potential impact on bus speeds on TLRN roads. Do you agree with me this is a serious omission, given that although the LTNs might be on roads controlled by the boroughs, they clearly have significant impacts on roads in the TLRN?

If she were to continue to serve for another Mayoral term, what would you look to change or improve about her targets?

ULEZ Exemption Extension for London Ambulances

  • Reference: 2024/0966
  • Question by: Keith Prince
  • Meeting date: 15 March 2024
In November 2023 I wrote to you, noting that the NHS will have to spend nearly £65 million in order to make ambulances ULEZ compliant and asking that you extend the ULEZ exemption for ambulances well beyond October 2025. Your Deputy Mayor replied to that letter on 7 February, making clear that you have no plans to move the date when the exemption expires. Do you believe that spending nearly £65 million on replacing London Ambulances with newer models represents the best way for the NHS to spend that money and will you please strongly consider an extension to beyond...

The redacted 17 November 2023 Tripartite Meeting minutes you provided in your response to question 2024/0175 show a date of Friday 17 November 2022, which, I trust, is incorrect. Since this document now forms part of the public record, can you ensure that the correct year is reflected in the document that is both circulated to attendees and also posted on the GLA’s MQT database website?
