What if the College had an Ofsted inspection 8 to 11 March but it is unlikely that the (positive) result will be published in time to attach it to our application for Mayor’s Academies Quality Marks?

Our previous Ofsted inspection in December 2018 was Grade 3, Requires Improvement but at our Monitoring Visit in November 2019, we had made Significant Progress in two areas and Reasonable Progress in another.

Would you like us to wait until the latest Ofsted Report is published and then forward it, or to attach evidence of the 2019 Monitoring Visit? (We understand that the outcomes of the latest inspection was shared with the GLA).

Yes, based on the information provided, the training provider is currently eligible to apply under the 2. Ofsted Grades criteria based on the following exemption:

  • latest Ofsted progress monitoring report outcome is showing “significant” progress has been made against the majority of assessment areas
  • the training provider must attach the latest Ofsted monitoring report as above and inform the GLA once their full inspection outcome has been published.
