Although we deliver training within GLA we are based in North Yorkshire and pay the National Living wage. Would we still need to pay the London Living Wage to receive the Quality Mark?

The GLA would not require the training provider as an employer to pay the London Living Wage to receive the Quality Mark. In reference to evidence requirements under Criteria 16. Promoting Fair Pay and Good Work Criteria b). The GLA seeks documentary evidence provided of London Living Wage accreditation and/or Mayor’s Good Work Standard (GWS).

If documentary evidence is not provided, applicant must submit narrative evidence demonstrating how the applicant is working towards either the London Living Wage accreditation OR the Mayor’s GWS. In this instance, as part of working towards the Mayor’s GWS or London Living Wage accreditation – the GLA would expect training providers to demonstrate efforts to ensure London-based staff are remunerated in accordance with Mayor’s GWS Standards and/or London Living Wage accreditation.
