What ‘delivered predominantly to London residents’ means?

Whilst we do have learners who travel from all over the country (and beyond) to study with us, we do also have a numbers learners who are London residents. As we need to show that our training is delivered predominantly to London residents as part of the application, would you be able to provide some guidance on what ‘delivered predominantly to London residents’ means? For example, is there a list of postcodes or a map that shows what is considered to be ‘London’? Further, does predominantly mean that over 50 per cent of our learners need to be London residents or is it that our learners need to be comprised of more Londoners than any other individual county?

Training providers who currently hold a GLA grant agreement or contract for the delivery of provision (2022-23) and expect to hold a GLA contract/grant in future years are not required to demonstrate provision is delivered predominantly to London residents. They must however confirm the details of the funding agreement they hold.

Where providers otherwise hold a contract for delivery of training provision which is publicly funded but which is not a GLA grant agreement or contract, should meet the evidence requirements stated in 1. Provider Information Section 5.1.1. Criteria Section 1: Provider Details of the Statement of Requirements. These providers will also be required to provide a signed letter from CEO/Principal confirming their training provision is delivered predominantly to London residents – our definition includes the majority of learners (greater than 50 per cent) being London residents (which means having a postcode within the 32 London boroughs and the City Of London).
